In case you are not satisfied with the Health Insurance company's reason to reject the claim, follow the following process: Give a written complaint at the Insurance Companies branch and get a written acknowledgment. IRDA has stipulated a TAT of 15 days for resolving the complaints against any claim. In case you are not getting a satisfactory response, you can reach out to the Consumer redressal department of IRDA. You can also file a grievance with the Insurance Ombudsman. In case your complaints are still not resolved, you can file a complaint with the Consumer Court. Consumer courts have a different department to handle health insurance claims related grievances.
